Welcome to 2026! 

If you got a gift over the holidays that didn't quite suit your needs or you gave one of your adorable grandkids something that didn't meet their expectation, no need to fear – *most* of the major retailers have decided to relax their return policy.

You won't have forever, though. Half of these returns have January 31 cut-offs; the other half January 14 or 15.
