We’re a small band of former reporters, broadcast consultants, bankers, serious shoppers, artists — and a few other misfits — who, in our 70s, decided we weren’t ready to fade into the background. That’s how Smart Senior Daily was born.
Well, truth be told, we didn’t find Smart Senior Daily — it found us. There’s a need out there for a no-BS, no-gimmicks site that talks about the things that actually matter to seniors. So, we rolled up our sleeves and decided to build it.
Here’s what you can expect from us
- Clear, useful stories written with seniors in mind.
- No “junked-up” distractions.
- Tools, tips, and even puzzles designed to make life a little better every day.
We’re not perfect (who is?), so we invite you to reach out with questions, corrections, or ideas. Our motto is “fail forward fast.” Over the next few months, you’ll see us doing just that — experimenting, adjusting, and improving as we go.
A quick word about money
Starting in 2026, we’ll move to a subscription model. We had a choice — clutter up the site with ads you don’t care about, or charge a fair price to cover our costs (things like licensing puzzles, bandwidth, and, yes, keeping the lights on). We chose the latter. The price? Just $2.00 a month — less if you pay annually.
You’ll also see occasional affiliate links — for example, to Amazon. If you click and buy through those links, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. It’s one more way we support the mission without selling out.
Gotcha-free
And because we’re consumers too, we promise to steer clear of the “stupid stuff” we’re all sick of — hidden gotchas buried in the fine print, or your information being sold to some third party. That said, when you pay us, a processor will obviously handle your credit card info. Beyond that, your data stays yours.
So… let’s get started. Sound good?
