Contributor Pathways at Smart Senior Daily

When we were growing up, people in their 60s and 70s were the masters of their profession. Their wisdom and experience mattered.
Smart Senior Daily exists to prove that still holds true. We’re building a platform where seniors can inform, connect, and empower each other. But we’re not building it alone. We’re inviting people who believe they’ve still got game to come along for the ride.
Kind of like Robert DeNiro in 'The Intern'...
Two ways to contribute
Depending on what your interests and skills are, we've got a couple of options:
Path 1: Revenue Partners
Do you know how to hustle? Do you have connections with local businesses, organizations, or brands?
We’re looking for:
- Ad sellers – bring in newsletter advertising (we’re not running display ads on the site).
- Sponsorship hunters – line up content sponsorships for articles, guides, or special sections.
- Partnership builders – connect SSD with companies, services, or events that fit our audience.
- Amazon Affiliate product finders – research senior-friendly products with strong reviews/ratings to feature in our guides and “What You Get for Your Money” series. If you pride yourself on being a good, smart shopper, this might be just the thing.
How it works:
- Commission-only, with a generous cut (30–40%).
- No cap. The more you bring in, the more you make.
- You’ll have the satisfaction of helping SSD grow while earning alongside us.
Path 2: Recognition Partners
Not every contribution shows up in dollars on day one. Some show up in visibility, credibility, and community.
We’re looking for:
- Writers – share stories, tips, or insights relevant to seniors.
- SEO helpers – fine-tune content so it reaches the right readers.
- Social media hands – manage posts, comments, and engagement.
- Community connectors – help SSD build networks with readers and groups.
- Puzzle creators – design word games, crosswords, or brain teasers tailored for seniors.
How it works:
Right now, these roles aren’t paid. But we believe in giving credit where it’s due. Contributors will:
- Be acknowledged as Founding Contributors on the site.
- Have their names and bios featured alongside their work.
- Be first in line for consideration as paid opportunities open up.
Why Join?
Because building something new matters. Because seniors still have hustle, wisdom, and creativity to spare. Because proving ageism wrong feels pretty damn good.
