There's a pall over the world this afternoon. Dolly Parton, at age 80, has passed.
For anyone who loves music (and who among our generation doesn't?), Dolly holds a special place. From "Jolene" to "I Will Always Love You," our hearts grew with a deeper sense of love and understanding of people in every corner of our lives.
It didn't matter if they were the teller at the bank, the guy at the Sunoco station, or our friends who sat with mamaw and papaw to watch 'The Porter Wagoner Show,' we all admired Dolly.
We admired her for her honesty. Admired her for your courage. Admired her for living large. Admired her when she broke down barriers (yes, even going as far as duetting with Post Malone).
In short, we all loved Dolly.
In her honor and memory, we assembled a list of our favorite Dolly songs. One of these you might not know about, but it's special.
